Sculpt-Amateur Competition
Unleash your creativity at the Bay of Fundy Sand Sculpture Festival community sand sculpting competition. A one-day competition open to all skill levels! Whether you’re a young artist, a team of friends, or an individual competitor, this is your chance to showcase your artistic side. With no cost to participate, lots of prizes, and a chance to be named the overall winner, this is a fun and friendly competition for all ages.
Rules
1
Sand Sculptures must consist of sand and water only, with the exception of wood, rocks, shells, seaweed, etc., found on the beach the day of the contest and used as decorations only. No live animals, please.

The use of hand shovels, buckets, shaping or forming tools, temporary forms (used solely for construction purposes), and other miscellaneous hand tools is permitted. Please, no power tools.

Inorganic, toxic, or non-biodegradable sand stabilizers such as rebar or wire mesh are not permitted.

Paint of any kind is not permitted.

All items brought to the beach by competitors must be removed before leaving the beach.
Prizes
Youth
Build it by yourself or build it with your friends. The youth category is open to children under the age of 15. Parental help is not permitted.

Adult Group
Get your friends together and discover the power of teamwork! The more hands moving, the more you can accomplish in the window between the tides. The group category is limited to 10 people per team.

Adult Individual
Prefer to create your masterpiece? The adult individual category is usually the most competitive, with new semi-pro sculptors visiting each year to showcase and hone their skills.

Vendors
Join us at the Bay of Fundy Sand Sculpture Festival and share your products with thousands of festival goers against the stunning backdrop of New River Beach! We’re looking for local crafters, artisans, and food vendors to be part of this exciting event.
Vendors will be assigned a spot in the designated vendor area and are responsible for providing their own tables, tents, and setup. A small vendor fee will be collected and donated to our local community partners.

Vendor Guidelines
Vendors are required to provide their own tent, table, and display setup.
Set-up and take-down must be completed within the designated times.
Booths must remain open during festival hours.
Food vendors must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.
Power access is limited.
Vendors are responsible for keeping their area clean and removing waste.
This is a family event – items that contain inappropriate material or which could be considered offensive are not permitted.
We prioritize original, high-quality handmade goods. Mass-produced items and resale products may not be accepted.
